STORY
When Paige graduated in 2015, she thought she had her life figured out. She was going to be a journalist! Paige already had offers on the table for her dream job, she graduated debt-free; she was going to be living the American dream! Three days before graduation, God revealed to Paige that He had a different plan for her life. God called her to the mission field.

Paige moved to Denton for a year to complete the Chi Alpha internship and then returned to Texas State. Shortly after she met her future husband, Kyland. Throughout their dating season, he developed a heart for college ministry and felt called to minister to the young men of Chi Alpha.
Today, Paige and Kyland serve as US Missionaries through Chi Alpha at Texas State. Paige oversees all things digital and disciples the women leaders and members. Kyland serves as worship director and disciples the guy leaders.
Why Texas State?
The college and university campus is our world's most strategic mission field and influential institution. Home to our emerging future leaders. What happens on the campus is directly related to what America is and will become. It provides a gateway into the world connecting us to more than 1 million international students who are ready to learn about our culture and religion.
Share our ministry
with others so that when their kids are college age, the parents can rest easy knowing there is a God- centered family waiting for them. We want to give them a God-centered community to continue growing in, so that they walk out their relationship with Christ for the rest of their lives!

Pray for souls, transformation and reconciliation on campus. I believe revival is wanting to break loose on our campus, but we need to fight the forces working against it with the best weapon we have; prayer. So many times when I’ve reached out to my team for prayer over a student; there’s breakthrough!

ASHLEY
Missionary to Korea
Ashley came into Chi Alpha because her sister was heavily involved. After being healed of asthma and depression at a conference, she developed a fire for growing close to God. She is now using her story and drive to minister to students in South Korea, just as she did at Texas State.
Dayton & Christian
XA Missionaries
Dayton & Christian met at Texas State Chi Alpha. After being mentored by Paige and Kyland separately, they all began meeting together to talk about how to have a godly relationship. They are now married and preparing to be Chi Alpha missionaries together!
BEN
Born Again
Believer
Ben got involved in Chi Alpha through his local church. After finding out he needed some extra support, Kyland was able to help take him shopping, pray, over him, and be a consistent listening ear for Ben. Ben decided to get baptized and has been living in full confidence in God's purpose for his life.
CHRIS
Worship Leader
Chris got involved with Chi Alpha after his friend Christian joined. Chris joined the worship team and quickly grew in his confidence in worship leading. Through Kyland's mentorship Christ was able to lead worship at our fall conference!
CALEB
Public Relations
Caleb transferred to Texas State his junior year to study public relations. Caleb began leading a small group and was a great influence at Texas State. He now serves in a massive role at his church.
PAULA
XA Missionary
Paula grew up in church but always felt alone. When she began attending Chi Alpha she found the community she needed. Paula is now a Chi Alpha missionary with her husband in Montana.
Being in XA helps me in my workplace, church, and life in a variety of ways. I'm thankful XA allowed me to serve in different outreaches in a student leader position where I was able to grow my communication skills and hear others' hearts. ~Valerie Chavez

Where and when do you meet?Chi Alpha meets weekly for our Tuesday Night Services (TNL) at 7:30pm at 310 W Hutchison St. Our small groups, called PODs, meet at various times and locations around San Marcos.

What is a Tuesday Night Live like?Tuesday Night Live is an engaging, dynamic atmosphere geared towards ministering to you as a college student. TNL is full of life, creativity, love and encouragement. There is a live band that will lead in worship and a Jesus-centered message by one of our pastors. The entire service lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What do I wear?Chi Alpha is a place for everyone. We encourage people to come as they are and dress in what feels most comfortable.
